A Better Banana Split is easy to make, and nutrient-rich.

First, make our quick and easy 3-Ingredient Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream.

Soak 14 pitted dates; refrigerate 1 can of Organic Coconut Cream.

Place the soaked, pitted dates, the coconut cream, and 3 Tbsp of cocoa powder (or cacao powder) in a high-speed blender.

Then pour into a prepared ice cream maker bowl (refrigerated in advance, per appliance instructions), and let it churn for around 30 minutes until it is your preferred thickness/creaminess.

Scoop your frozen chocolate date-cream onto a banana. Whip up some macadamia nut cream (soaked macadamia nuts plus coconut sugar in a blender).  (Dairy-free whipped cream recipe variations coming soon!)

As an alternative, there is a dairy-free VEGAN Ready Whip – coconut version, or almond version (if you are trying to please others with whipped cream). The fact that Ready Whip is even making VEGAN non-dairy whipped cream is fairly amazing. Just saying. Obviously just because it’s vegan does NOT make it a health food! But you already knew that, so let’s carry on.

Sprinkle some nuts and frozen pitted bing cherries on top, and if you are feeling extra-indulgent, melt some high-quality dairy-free chocolate and drizzle on top!

Delicious & nutritious!
